Play Game Console Can Prevent Obesity in Children

Children who are overweight have an increased risk of disease have typically experienced by adults such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and metabolic syndrome. To prevent obesity, you can use the fun for the kids such as games consoles.

Gaming addiction is not good for the child's mental condition, but you can use a video game to control the child's weight. A recent study suggests that exergames or video game players rely on physical activity to prevent obesity in children.

It may be difficult to establish exercise habits in children, so the game play can be used as an alternative for children moving more. Choose video games play video games and sports, but that is not controlled with a joystick but the console, so that more children moving.

A survey shows that after a 11-year-old child, he tends to reduce physical activities such as playing football and prefer to spend time playing games at home. Therefore, parents need to get around this by introducing exercise into your child's entertainment activities.

A group of Canadian researchers conducted a study of 1,200 students at 29 schools in Montreal. In addition to recording physical activity participants, the researchers also collected data on mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress. About 25 percent of study participants play exergames, an average of two days per week for 50 minutes.

Results showed that 73 percent of children who play exergames have an equivalent level of activity was exercising. In addition, children who play exergames are less likely to experience depression and can maintain their weight.

Despite its benefits both to prevent the risk of obesity in children, parents still need to control the timing of the child in play exergames. Make sure the game is not to make children addicted and other disturbing activities, such as learning and sleep.
