Babies born too big have big brains. However, that does not mean they are smarter than the others when entering the age of the children and even teenagers.

Fetal development, mental health and ability to live in the future is said to have relevance. Norwegian researchers also conducted a study to find out the links between infant weight at birth and brain development.

628 children and adolescents who are healthy from the U.S. than the structure, area, and volume of his brainBabies born with severe weight at birth apparently developed larger brains, regardless of genetics and social background.

"Children who are over-weight when the baby has a surface area of larger brains in some areas and larger in volume than the healthy baby thinner. That is one conclusion of a study led by Kristine B. Walhovda from the Department of PsychologyUniversity of Osloas quoted by The Daily TelegraphThursday (22/11/2012).

According Walhovdasome areas of the brain that seem to be correlated with birth weight is part of a network which is responsible to solve cognitive problemsBut the researchers found no association between birth weight and cognitive function when the brain worksWith such a big baby with a big brain is not necessarily smarter than his colleagues.
