Sow sugar, In order that process of wound healing faster

Excessive sugar consumption is known to be harmful to health. But it turns out if the sugar granules are placed on the wound, can help speed up the healing process.

A recent study found the granules of sugar sprinkle on the wound can help the healing process is faster than with the use of antibiotics. These results suggest the treatment of people in ancient times this African indeed is true existence.

The study was led by Moses Murandu, senior lecturer at Wolverhampton University. Murandu himself grew up in Zimbabwe, and when he was young his father used sugar to heal wounds and reduce pain.

When Murandu moved to England, he realized there was something that could be offered from traditional treatment he underwent when still small, therefore he began to find out the truth. Based on his studies, sugar is known to draw water from the wound, whereas the bacteria need water to can survive. This condition which became the reason why the sugar to heal wounds faster, as quoted by Medindia.

One of the patients who received this treatment and became part of the research is Alan Bayliss of Birmingham. Bayliss treated at Moseley Hall Hospital to undergo rehabilitation after the amputation. 

Bayliss underwent amputation to his right foot so that part of the knee due to wounds, surgery is performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham in January 2013, and as part of the operation blood vessels was moved from his left leg.

For postoperative rehabilitation, Bayliss moved to Moseley Hall Hospital which where uses the standard treatment as usual. But the wound on his left leg did not heal effectively. 

The nurse finally contact Murandu then Bayliss given treatment with sugar and within 2 weeks, his wound size already reduced drastically. So far there are 35 patients who received this treatment, his condition improved and no side effects were reported.
