"Previously most cases we often encounter is caused by two factors. Normally takes many years of alcohol and tobacco abuse causes this type of cancer, and patients are generally the elderly," said Prof Panizza.

According to Professor Panizza, exposure to the virus has a long phase. So that the distance between viral exposure and appearance of symptoms take years even decades. That is why he is suspicious of changes in sexual behavior in the 60's and 70's were a trigger.

"Now we see patients younger, middle age, who developed cancer due to human papilloma virus infection, where there are many people who associate with cervical cancer," added Prof Panizza.

Previously mentioned research by about 7 per cent of the 14.9 million adults and adolescents in the U.S. are infected with HPV. Of these, about 10 percent of men aged 14-69 years had oral HPV infection in women is greater than that only about 3.6 percent.
