If you often wake up at night by small disturbances such as swelter or noise, immediately resolve it before it affects your brain. Disturbances during sleep apparently contribute to the decline memory.

When age a person gets, the brain's ability to store memory will decrease. The reason is, aging is associated with damage to specific areas of the brain that produces slow wave and inhibit the function of the brain's memory storage.

Unfortunately, the case is different with memory degeneration caused by disturbances in neurons or blood clots in the brain that can be cured with medical care. One way to overcome the slow waves in the brain is with improve the quality of sleep.

"Disturbances during sleep apparently immense influence on the changes in the brain associated with age and memory storage," said Bryce Mander, a psychologist at UC Berkeley are doing research on this.

Someone needs to improve the quality of sleep in order to prevent bad effects on the slow waves on the brain's ability to save memory. One of the easiest ways to get a good night's sleep is with multiply the physical activity during the day.

"If the body is more active during the day, you will have a deeper sleep that night. You also need to have a regular sleep schedule and minimize distractions, such as noises that may can disturb your night's sleep," says Dr. Mander.

Make sure that the temperature of your bedroom is not too hot, pretty dim lighting, beds were comfortable, and safe from the sounds that disturb sleep. Cleanliness of the bed is also one of the factors that can improve the quality of sleep, so do not be lazy to clean your bedroom.

Improve the quality of your sleep since early, before it causes memory impairment as you enter old age later. The research was published online in the journal Nature Neuroscience, as reported by The Doctor Will See You Now.
